I’ve been
lusting after quite a few skincare items recently, so I thought it only right
to compile them in a blog post. In no particular order...
I’m fairly new to the world of Origins
skincare, having only tried a couple of their products, but I love their simple,
fun approach (not to mention their packaging) and I’m really keen to try some
more of their many face creams. After using the Make A Difference+ rejuvenating
moisturiser for the past couple of weeks, I can see why so many people are
obsessed with the brand - my skin is noticeably plumper, more supple and healthier
looking. I’ve read good things about all of these pictured, so the question is,
which to try next? My skin is normal/combination, and definitely lacking
radiance, so I’m thinking either GinZing or MegaBright will have to be my next
investment.
Also from Origins I really want to try
the Drink Up Intensive overnight mask (£22), which contains apricot kernel oil,
avocado oil and mango butter amongst other lovely ingredients. I’ve never tried
a moisture mask before but I love the concept of applying it just like a night
cream and leaving it to work it’s magic while you sleep. My skin could
definitely do with an extra dose of moisture every now and again, so I can’t
wait to try this.
I have of course heard no end of
bloggers rave about the Nuxe Reve de Miel lipbalm (which I’m yet to try) but
when I discovered they did a hand & nail cream (containing Chilean rose,
avocado and sweet almond precious oils, aswell as acacia honey) I added it to
my wishlist straightaway. I’ll probably purchase this nearer to winter time as
I’ve heard it’s quite a thick, nourishing formulation, but from what I’ve heard
of the yummy Reve de Miel scent this will be just perfect at that time of year,
especially as my hands do tend to get very rough and sore in the colder
weather.
By now it’s probably become apparent
that I have a bit of a thing about moisturisers; it can actually become a bit
of a problem in the sense that there are so many I want to try, but I only have
the one face (thank goodness). I’m a big fan of natural skincare and these
moisturisers from organic UK brand Pai in their cute glass bottles really
appeal to me. Of course, I can’t decide whether to go for the avocado & jojoba
hydrating day cream or the chamomile & rosehip anti-redness moisturiser, so
when the time comes to invest I’ll probably end up saving my pennies and
getting both.
With the exception of the Instant
Boost Skin Tonic spritzer, I haven’t tried any of the products from the Liz
Earle Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise range, something I plan to rectify as soon
as possible. Handily, Liz Earle do a bundle deal on their website with all of
the products in 50ml sizes, perfect for travel or for those wanting to try the
products for the first time. So I’ll definitely be picking up this Healthy,
Beautiful Skin Kit containing pint-sized versions of the iconic Cleanse &
Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and Skin Repair Moisturiser (once I’ve used up
all the skincare products I currently own - may the mission commence).
